A September workshop held at New Shoreham’s Town Hall demonstrated for Block Island residents how sea level rise could impact the island’s ponds and wetlands in addition to the coastline. CRMC’s Jim Boyd and URI Coastal Resources Center’s Pam Rubinoff led the discussion, and asked locals for their input on Beach SAMP project maps.
